KLM is actively committed to the environment and creating a sustainable airline industry. For the fifth consecutive year our level of commitment was recognised, together with Air France, in securing the number one position in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
Despite the many hurdles yet to take, we believe that in the coming decade biofuels will assume a prominent position in the field of sustainable aviation. For this reason, KLM is actively pushing the development of sustainable aviation fuels.
On Monday, 23 November 2009 a concrete milestone on our Road to Sustainable Aviation Fuels is achieved.
